HomeAI Policy

This page sets out how Dakhni.org uses artificial intelligence in researching, compiling, and presenting its content, how sources are cited, and how rights holders can raise concerns about attribution or intellectual property.

Use of AI in research and compilation

Dakhni.org draws on publicly available historical records, academic publications, museum and archival holdings, and other documented sources on the history and culture of the Deccan. Artificial intelligence tools are used throughout this process: to research and gather relevant material, to synthesise it into a single, consistent narrative voice, and to organise it into the structure readers see on each page.

AI assistance is applied to compilation and presentation. It is not used to invent historical claims, dates, names, or attributions that are not supported by the underlying sources.

Sourcing and references

Wherever possible, factual claims are linked to a numbered citation and a corresponding entry in that page's References section, listing the source consulted. This practice is applied across the archive's dynasty, city, language, and heritage pages, and across the Sufism section's individual saint pages. One exception is the Sufi lineage (silsila) chart, which presents a genealogical diagram rather than a prose article and does not carry individual citations.

Not every sentence carries an individual citation. Some material reflects general historical consensus drawn from multiple sources rather than a single reference. In every case, the References section for a given page reflects the sources actually consulted for that page's content.

Accuracy and independent verification

Every effort is made to ensure the material on this site is accurate and consistent with established historical scholarship. As with any historical resource, we recommend that readers verify facts that matter most to their research or understanding against independent, primary sources. This is standard practice for historical research generally, not a specific caveat about this archive.

Intellectual property and attribution

Dakhni.org draws on publicly available and historical material, and every effort is made to attribute sources appropriately. If you are a rights holder and believe that content, an image, or other material on this site has been used without appropriate attribution, or in a way that infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at syedazharfarhan@gmail.com with details of the material in question.

We will review such requests in good faith and, where appropriate, correct the attribution or remove the material promptly.

Independence

Dakhni.org is an independent cultural project maintained by Syed Azhar Farhan. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official record of any government, institution, or organisation, and should not be treated as one.
